Remember yesterday when I
mentioned that I'd read about how glo stick juice was supposed to be able to etch into dvds and cds? (Well, ok, I didn't give you the specifics but whatever.)
It didn't really work. I don't know if I used the wrong brand of glo stick or dvd or whatever but I ended up with a sticky mess.

But then I thought, why not try a scouring pad? Surely that would work, right? Eeeeh, kinda'. I mean, it's there but it's ghosty. (And extra supersaturated for your viewing pleaseure.)

Not to be defeated (I'm stubborn sometimes), I utilized a trick that I learned in my college printmaking class. In other words, if you have softish plastic and a needle, you can absolutely etch into the surface of said plastic. End result:

It works! But I wouldn't dare put this through a press. Shards ahoy! As such, I doubt I'll be pulling any prints off of it in the near future.
(For those of you who must know, the dvds in question were of Ubuntu 8.10 and a (backup) copy of "Kiki's Delivery Service". Both were botched and unusable.)
